Mrs. Esanult
My second grade teacher from Wedgewood Elementary.
Mrs. Esanult was the first teacher to introduce me to computers by bringing a computer from her home for our second grade class. It was a math game that involved an alligator eating numbers. Though I was never any good at math, I enjoyed the game very much. But my curiosity about what-else the computer could do resulted in the computer breaking.
My relationship with Mrs. Esanualt extended outside of Wedgewood since she attended the same church as my family, St. Jean Vianney. This coincidence eventually caused me problems when I stopped doing homework. I got into a phase of not turning in homework, always using the excuse that I forgot it at home.
One Sunday our family ran into Mrs. Esanualt after church. My brothers and I were instructed to go home while Mom struck up a friendly conversation with Mrs. Esanault. I knew then that the jig was up. I nervously sat at home waiting for my punishment.
