Mrs. Ott

Ryan’s first grade teacher at Wedgewood Elementary who was the first teacher to strike back at Ryan’s tomfoolery. Once during story-time, Mrs. Ott escorted Ryan into the hallway in order to regain control of the classroom. She politely asked Ryan to behave himself, letting him know that he should be setting an example for the class. Ryan adhered.

During single-file processions out of the classroom, Mrs. Ott had the children place their finger over their mouth in an effort to remind them to be quiet. But instead of the usual “shhhh” that most teachers used, Mrs. Ott used the controversial “shhhhhht”. That subtle “T” at the end of the “shhhh” was enough to make the children giggle.
