Woodard, Mrs.
Ryan’s freshmen year English teacher from Baton Rouge Magnet High School.
Ryan was a handful for Woodard, constantly “actin a foo” as she would so eloquently put it. Deep inside though, she loved him. On some days Woodard would come into class with her hair pulled back in a pony tail. Ryan inquired as to why this. Woodard informed Ryan and the rest of the class that sometimes she didn’t have time to wash her hair and that is why it would sometimes be pulled back. One week Woodard had her hair pulled back every day. Mayhaps because she didn’t wash it all week or mayhaps because Ryan told her that it looked good.
It was in this class that Ryan befriended Shaynna Powell and twisted his ankle.
