Thank You for Being a Friend
Estelle Getty has passed away. Golden Girls made my preadolescent Saturday nights. No matter how bored I got, I always had the shenanigans of Rose, Blanche, Dorothy, and Sophia to look forward too. After Betty White’s Rose Nylund, the lovable dullard who frequently talked about her bizarre hometown of St. Olaf, Minnesota, Estelle Getty’s Sophia Petrillo was my favorite character. She definitely had the best zingers. Thank you for being a friend.
