Fall Premiere Week - Sunday

Each network has owned Sunday - television’s most lucrative night - in recent years. It is the most watched night of television. It’s also the only night when prime-time starts an hour earlier than usual. This year there are no new shows on any of the major nets.
ABC starts things off [...]

Fall Premiere Week - Saturday

The networks gave up trying to successfully program Saturday nights a long time ago. Now it’s mostly repeats.
ABC has college football, CBS and NBC have repeats, and Fox has Cops and America’s Most Wanted as they have since the dawn of time. This wasn’t worth the 90 seconds it took to write.

Fall Premiere Week - Friday

I can’t imagine watching television on a Friday night, especially with what the networks offer. Saturday night is the worst though.
ABC has an hour of Just for Laughs which offers up this synopsis: “A gorilla hanging from a tree surprises pedestrians.” Alright. Following that are two full hours of 20/20. I [...]

Kucinich, the only Democrat running for President who originally voted against [...]

2007 Fall Upfronts

It’s upfronts week.
Every year the major broadcast television networks (and The CW) gather to unveil their fall schedules to hungry advertisers. If the advertisers like what they see, or even if they don’t, they shell out billions for primo ad time.
There power of the primetime schedule is not what it used to be. [...]

Is Locke LOST?

[The following contains mild to spicy spoilers from last night’s LOST. Read at your own risk.]
What the fuck is going on? Jacob, the “man behind the curtain” is invisible? I wasn’t sure if Ben could actually see him or if he was just fucking with Locke. But then Jacob spoke [...]

J.J. Abrams Needs to get LOST

The Office is having a strong, creative third season. It doesn’t surprise me that notable Hollywood heavyweights have been stepping to get in on the action. Last week’s vampire-centric episode was directed by Buffy creator Joss Whedon. Tonight’s ep is helmed by LOST and Alias creator J.J. Abrams. Now I think [...]
