30 Rock Returns in SeinfeldVision®
Tonight NBC tries to recapture some of that nostalgia from the 90s with the one-night return of Jerry Seinfeld to ‘Must-See TV’. The premise sounds brilliant: Jack (Alec Baldwin) creates SeinfeldVision®, a process which inserts NBC-owned footage from Seinfeld into NBC’s current shows. Seinfeld himself shows up none too happy.
Despite critical praise, 30 Rock was the lowest rated comedy on NBC last season. NBC hopes the return of Jerry Seinfeld coupled with winning the Emmy for best comedy series will give 30 Rock a boost. The absence of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip probably doesn’t hurt either.
