Dennis Kucinich on the economic crisis:
“The double standard is stunning: their profits are their profits, but their losses are our losses.”
CNN: Ron Paul Commentary: Bailouts will lead to rough economic ride
The former GOP Presidential candidate and the only one who did not endorse John McCain seems to understand the economy better than McCain and Obama.
Real [...]

While The Decider ogles Olympic volleyball players in China, a fucking war is raging between Russia and Georgia. Not that we here in America would know seeing as how sex and scandal always outsells despair and anguish. Georgians are literally begging for America’s help and telling the story of a great betrayal by [...]

The American mainstream media could learn a thing or two or twelve from Al Jazeera. By examining racism in Kentucky, the Arabic news network boldly and bravely goes where CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News dare not tread — Kentucky.
Welcome to Kentucky.

I came across this story on CNN about the possible dangers of being exposed to deadly chemicals when using iPods and iPhones. On the same page there was an ad prompting you to “enter to win a free iPod Nano.” Now that’s what I call production integration.

Vice President Dick Cheney fell asleep during a cabinet meeting yesterday while The Decider was discussing the California wildfires. Governor Tarkin, a spokesman for Cheney, told CNN that the Veep was merely “meditating.” It was apparently past his nap time.

Britney Spears has lost custody of her children to her husband, what’s his face. CNN has the story. I fear for what she might do given her state of mind right now.

I ganked this from Jow’s away message. Proof that Ren and Stimpy are gay. It’s quite disturbing.
Meanwhile, in the real world, CNN has the breaking news that Hillary Clinton is not a lesbian.

Someone at CNN is apparently doing some journalism, albeit it’s a little too late. CNN jumped on the internet bandwagon over a 1994 interview of Dick Cheney where he said invading Iraq would lead to a “quagmire.”
Here’s the real question: Why didn’t CNN find this before some random YouTuber? Why didn’t CNN, [...]

Since when did the “headlines” on cnn.com become merely a plethora of non-news bookmarks akin to something you’d expect to find on Digg? Yesterday I saw a link for JibJab’s Star Spangled Banner on CNN’s homepage; it was tucked away at the very bottom of “Latest News.” I guess CNN didn’t get enough hits from it because today they decided to bump it up a few notches, just below a story about five cheerleaders being killed in a “fiery” crash and just above another newsworthy piece on, you guessed it, Paris Hilton!
CNN should just introduce a rating system that allows people to rank “news” stories. They don’t need anything complex like Digg’s ranking system. A simpleton system similar to “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” would suffice. May I suggest “News It” or “Lose It.”
