The infamous Flying Spaghetti Monster has been spotted. Someone should tell the almighty pasta that I’m the original flyin’ sauce.
In case you missed last night’s CNN/YouTube debates where The People were allowed to ask the candidates questions, you can watch the recap of all 39 questions and responses online.
The Republican candidates will have their own debates on September 17. Submission questions are still being accepted. Now, to be fair, how about a third party debate?
Meanwhile, during today’s White House press briefing, when asked if the President watched last night’s debates Tony Snow responded with, “I don’t think so. I don’t think he’s big on YouTube debates.”
Such a preposterous notion that The Decider would be interested in what The People have to say…
This brilliant short film, about internet chatrooms if they were real, is one of the best videos on YouTube and definitely worth the ten minutes.
This hilarious little five-second long video has spawned dozens of imitators on YouTube.
This video was made by an advertising agency to raise awareness to the fact that car accident victims aren’t always inside the vehicle, by stenciling the names of victims in the zebra crosswalk.
I don’t see how inviting people to read the ground in a crosswalk in an attempt to raise awareness of pedestrian causalities is an affective way of getting the point across. Sure, It’s a novel approach but personally, I’d rather not stare at the ground while standing in the middle of a busy intersection.
If you look closely, people actually stop, in the middle of the street no less, to read the names. Some are so interested in reading the names, that they stand on the shoulder in an attempt to do so. That’s all well and good for the names on either end, but what about the names in the middle of the street?
This is absolutely brilliant. The synchronization is seamless. The only thing I would change is the music at the end.

This is by far the longest and best Simpsons couch gag EVAR. I’d like to thank the evil biologist for sending me this link.
A sheynem dank!

The best clip of that I could find on youtube is from someone recording the actual broadcast off of the television. Something tells me that might have been Sammy Stephens himself.
Czech it: complete interview with Ellen | Sammy singing for Ellen
After posting the commercial on Facebook yesterday, Blewis said this:
This guy must be balling out of his mind if he thinks he’s going to place a 2-minute TV ad! To be honest, the first 90 seconds could’ve been cut and we’d get the same impression.
Also, motherfucker’s got some big-ass eyeballs.
Well, turns out the two minute commercial on youtube is the extended version, the director’s cut if you will. The actual 30 second spots were edited down from that opus. And apparently business is booming for Sammy Stephens.
There is also this interview with Sammy Stephens on The DL.
Their technology hasn’t advanced that far ahead of us yet. This video, from youtube, is a disturbing potty training video from the land of the rising sun…
Cingular is set to officially become AT&T in a move that returns the former monopoly that was broken up by the government to its original form. AT&T plans to slowly phase out the Cingular name. As a Cingular customer I don’t know how I feel about this. Over the years I have become accustomed to saying, “God I hate Cingular!” Mayhaps this was AT&T’s plan all along - to create a brand that customers hate and then rename said brand to a familiar name with better service. Mayhaps not. In fact the name AT&T has been so obscure over the years that a lot of Cingular’s youthful target demographic have never even heard it.
I think Stephen Colbert explains the history of AT&T and its marriage with Cingular best:
