2007 Emmy Nominations
Once again the Emmy voters have proven that they simply don’t know what they are doing.
“24″ was rightfully snubbed in the best drama category, but so was “LOST” and “Battlestar Galactica.” That simply is a travesty. Instead, one of the worst written shows on television, “Heroes,” joined the fray. “LOST” should have been recognized for its third season instead. I should note that last year’s winner, Kiefer Sutherland, did get a nod for best actor again. Terry O’Quinn (Locke) and Michael Emerson (Ben Linus) both scored well-deserved supporting actor nods.
Things were a little more up to par in the comedy nods as “30 Rock” and “The Office” were both recognized for best comedy series and nods also went out to the respective stars as were Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, and Jenna Fischer were all nominated. Ed Helms was not though and that just isn’t right. And for some reason, “Two and a Half-Men” keeps getting recognized. Someone should tell the academy that this show IS NOT FUNNY.
